The following academic personnel tools have been identified and refined by the Academic Personnel Inventory Project Team in collaboration with the Academic Personnel Office (APO) and are being made available to the campus community as possible shared solutions to local needs.

Monthly Task Calendar for Academic HR Analysts

An example of a tool that distributes department AP tasks into monthly assignments to help ensure that all tasks are completed on time. Review Period Example

This job aid is meant as a visual overview when assigning the correct review periods for threshold reviews. It also visually shows the most recent review period which should inform the size of the proposed merit action based on activities that have not yet been credited for a merit.

Academic Personnel Tools Team

With representation from academic departments and the campus Academic Personnel Office, the Academic Personnel Tools Project Team works to: 1) provide a campus-vetted set of tools, including templates, database models, and automated programs to share best practices, provide training materials and user guides, inspire the creation of new tools, and build efficiencies in the UC Berkeley academic personnel enterprise; and 2) build a sense of community among the academic personnel professionals on campus, and enable better communication and shared knowledge between units.
