Dear Deans and Chairs,
Thank you to all of you who nominated and/or wrote letters of support for individuals interested in the inaugural UC Berkeley Faculty Leadership Academy. We had over 150 nominations from across the campus and received 54 applications from an exceptional pool of candidates.
The Faculty Advisory Committee and program sponsors had a truly challenging job narrowing the pool to the small number of faculty from across the campus, that we could enroll in the 2019 program. It is unfortunate that we weren’t able to accept every applicant into the program. However, the strong applicant pool is evidence that leadership development opportunities are desired by our Berkeley faculty and we plan to make this a yearly program to meet this need.
The list of selected participants is now available on the EVCP web site for reference. We thank you in advance for supporting their participation in Spring 2019.
