Sumali Tuchrello

In her role, Sumali is responsible for staffing EVCP programs, working groups, and initiatives, serving as the coordinator for the Faculty Leadership Academy, coordinating the EVCP divisional leaders ‘mega’ meetings, and representing the EVCP office in committees and programs. She has a dotted line report to the VPUE’s office where she staffs similar working groups and initiatives. She has 10 plus years at the University of California, having previously served in roles in an academic department, the Berkeley Academic Senate, and at the UC Office of the President. Prior to her time in higher education, she started her career in social work and community organizing. Sumali earned her BA in Communication Studies from the University of San Diego and earned her first MA in Conflict Transformation from the School for International Training and her second MA in Organizational Management from Ashford University.
