Academic Advancement, Recruitment, and Career Success

Academic Advancement, Recruitment, and Career Success (ARCS) is a campus-wide initiative to create sustainable change by identifying and addressing barriers and opportunities to support faculty advancement, retention, and career success and satisfaction. The fundamental goal is to achieve transformation by aligning Berkeley’s structures with its mission and goals. This strategic approach focuses on faculty as drivers of institution-wide change, fosters synergy among existing initiatives, and develops sustainable, systemic solutions rather than short-term programs.

Transfer Student Experience

In each year of the Joint Senate-Administration Task Force on the Transfer Student Experience, a three-year task force, working groups will be created to make improvements on specific areas of the transfer experience. The task force will deliver its findings, recommendations, and the status of its work done by April 4, 2024.
