Academic Advancement, Recruitment, and Career Success (ARCS) is a campus-wide initiative to create sustainable change by identifying and addressing barriers and opportunities to support faculty advancement, retention, and career success and satisfaction. The fundamental goal is to achieve transformation by aligning Berkeley’s structures with its mission and goals. A Task Force to advise the administration on revising our practices and policies as they pertain to the compensation of faculty who serve as department chairs and in similar roles (e.g., division heads within departments, vice chairs, etc.).

In each year of the Joint Senate-Administration Task Force on the Transfer Student Experience, a three-year task force, working groups will be created to make improvements on specific areas of the transfer experience.
